Anastasia BAY

"From the beginning it seemed obvious to me to participate in this project, to leave the solitude of the studio to collaborate in a collective project that participates in the improvement of living conditions, through education or by opening access to young women through skateboarding." – Anastasia BAY

Our Collaboration

All her original artworks were launched at the “What are we skating for?” event at THE SKATEROOM HQ in Brussels on April 29, 2022.

Anastasia Bay (b. 1988) lives and works in Brussels. She graduated with a BA from Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2012 after studying under François Boisrond.

Her recent exhibitions include: “The Awaken of the Cariatids” (solo), Galerie Derouillon, Paris (2022); “Allez Allez”, Centre Wallonie Bruxelles, Paris (2022); “LEAF”, Fondation Boghossian, Villa Empain, Brussels (2021); “One Hundred Ghost Stories” (solo), Sorry We’re Closed, Brussels (2021); “Can’t Bust’em” (solo), Galerie Derouillon, Paris (2021).

This new collaboration with Anastasia Bay is launched to raise support for a new skatepark build in Tameslouht, Morocco, constructed by our partners Concrete Jungle Foundation, in association with Centre Fiers et Forts.
