"It’s very important that this kind of project exists as a way to bring people closer via culture. It’s also great that a part of the turnover will be given to the NGO. I really hope to take part in more projects like this one." - Jean Jullien

Jullien has illustrated for Colette, The New Yorker, National Geographic, Museums Quartier Vienna, Phaidon Press, UNICEF, Eurostar, Majestic Wines, The Wall Street Journal, Transport for London, among many others. His work has been exhibited in Paris, London, Los Angeles, New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok to name but a few, and includes renowned galleries and institutions as diverse as the Tate Museum, HVW8 (LA and Berlin), the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, and the National Museum of Singapore.

THE SKATEROOM’s collaboration with Jeremyville & Friends is our first series dedicated to graphics and illustration – fields that have consistently inspired skate and DIY culture. True to form, Jean Jullien’s highly recognizable style finds its way onto our skate decks with these two awesome visuals.

The Jeremyville & Friends collaboration brings together Jeremyville, Jean Jullien, and Steven Harrington. In addition to contributing $15,000 to fund Make Life Skate Life’s Suli Skatepark in Iraq, the artists also created and donated 350 coloring books to Skateistan’s “Skate and Create” program, in which students in Afghanistan, Cambodia, and South Africa explore human rights, cultural studies, and the environment through art.
