THE SKATEROOM was founded on a simple belief: art can create meaningful social change. Our mission is to connect artists, collectors, and skateboard culture to fund projects that improve the lives of children and young people worldwide.
10% of the revenue from every limited collection is dedicated to carefully selected social initiatives focused on education, inclusion, and empowerment. This commitment isn't separate from our business. It is the reason THE SKATEROOM exists. Every edition we produce helps turn creativity into lasting impact.
THE SKATEROOM uses sustainably sourced, eco-friendly materials for our skateboards, such as FSC-certified Canadian maplewood, as well as recycled materials for our accessories. We also place a strong emphasis on sustainability in the production and printing processes. One of our sustainability highlights is the use of UV biodegradable inks for our skateboard designs. Unlike traditional inks that contain harmful chemicals and solvents, UV inks are cured using ultraviolet light, making them a more eco-friendly alternative. Additionally, the use of biodegradable inks ensures that our products do not contribute to pollution or harm the environment.
THE SKATEROOM uses eco-friendly packaging materials, such as recycled cardboard and paper. We reduce our plastic footprint by finding alternatives for all packaging and single-use plastic products, including the bottles we drink from in our office.
THE SKATEROOM has a transparent supply chain and we work with certified manufacturers who meet our sustainability standards. We also provide information about the materials and production processes used in our products.
Another key aspect of THE SKATEROOM's sustainability commitment is our internalization of production processes as much as possible. By keeping production in-house, we can better manage our environmental impact and reduce our carbon footprint. This approach also allows us to closely monitor and control the production process, ensuring that our products meet high-quality standards while minimizing waste.
