THE SKATEROOM’s triple threat collaboration with Jeremyville & Friends, featuring Steven Harrington and Jean Jullien, is the first series dedicated to graphics and illustration. Both fields have contributed immensely to skate and DIY culture as a whole, and were a natural territory to explore and translate over to the medium of art decks. Through his illustrations, Harrington seeks to express a feeling rather than narrate a story. The anxiety series took place at Colette, in Paris, during a time where the artist was experiencing recurring bouts of anxiety. The paintings became an introspection into those feelings and a way of dealing with them.

Steven Harrington

Steven Harrington (b. 1980, Los Angeles, USA) is an American artist and designer known for his distinctive psychedelic-pop aesthetic inspired by the landscapes, colors, and culture of California. His playful visual language brings together bold lines, vibrant palettes, surreal characters, and recurring motifs such as palm trees, creating a world that feels both joyful and contemplative.

Working across painting, sculpture, illustration, printmaking, and large-scale installations, Harrington moves fluidly between fine art and design. His multidisciplinary practice has been exhibited internationally and extends into collaborations across fashion, music, design, and popular culture, establishing him as a distinctive voice in contemporary Californian art.
