The previously unpublished image, produced in Tokyo at the end of 2019, was created in parallel with the photography series “NARCISSISM” for Self Service Magazine. John Yuyi created packs of cigarettes portraying her nude selfie. The Smoke Me artwork explores the theme of the artist consuming and smoking herself. It has also been reimagined as an installation and video piece.
