THE SKATEROOM is proud to unveil a new collection developed with Anne Imhof, launched in close collaboration with Serralves Museum in Porto. The release accompanies Fun ist ein Stahlbad, Imhof’s first solo exhibition in Portugal, and extends the conceptual framework of the exhibition into a series of limited-edition skate decks and apparel pieces.
About the Artist
Anne Imhof (b. 1978, Giessen, Germany) is a German visual and performance artist whose durational, rigorously choreographed works blend performance, installation, sound, sculpture, drawing, and music to probe power, identity, and contemporary anxieties. Based between Berlin and New York, she emerged on the international stage with her performance Faust at the 2017 Venice Biennale, earning the Golden Lion for Best National Participation. Known for tense, immersive environments that unfold over hours, Imhof’s work has been shown at institutions including Tate Modern (London), MoMA PS1 (New York), Hamburger Bahnhof (Berlin), and Palais de Tokyo (Paris).
