About

Also known as Red Fuji, this serene yet striking image presents Mount Fuji bathed in early morning light. The mountain glows in deep red tones against a patterned blue sky—minimal, bold, unforgettable.

Part of Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, this work exemplifies Hokusai’s mastery of color and atmosphere. Its simplicity makes it one of his most modern-feeling compositions: clean lines, flat planes, powerful contrast.

Rendered across a triptych of decks, the monumental calm of Fuji unfolds with quiet authority—an image of endurance, clarity, and timeless design.

Portrait of Katsushika HOKUSAI

Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849) was a legendary Japanese artist, printmaker, and painter of the Edo period, best known for his iconic The Great Wave off Kanagawa. A master of ukiyo-e woodblock printing, Hokusai brought new energy and dynamism to Japanese art, combining traditional techniques with bold composition and a deep fascination with nature. His seminal series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji reflected both spiritual reverence and a modern visual language that would go on to influence artists from Monet to Warhol. Hokusai’s work continues to shape global visual culture to this day.
