Seeds - Hand Signed
The artwork for this deck is directly inspired from Ai Weiwei’s iconic ‘Sunflower Seeds’ installation at the Tate Modern in 2010. The installation puts into context the effects of globalization and mass production in China in feeding western consumerism, and pays respect to those often forgotten at the bottom of the production chain – inevitably, it draws the conclusion that cheap labor work, at assembly lines within large factories for example, is a form of modern slavery.
