SESSIONS FOR REFUGEE AND UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN BEGIN

In the summer of 2019, we decided to initiate a project to raise funds towards social skate projects for the local underprivileged youth of Brussels. Byrrrh & Skate and Raion came together to make this amazing project happen. But the pandemic put plans on hold. Three years later, the sessions have finally started.

PLANTING A ‘TREE’ FOR THE JOHANNESBURG’S SKATE SCHOOL

A few weeks ago we launched a new triptych with Los Angeles based iconoclast Paul McCarthy. The monumental inflatable ‘Tree’ is one of his most controversial art pieces yet, having been effectively ‘banished’ from Paris back in 2014. Now, reimagined across three limited skateboard editions, McCarthy’s “buttplug” is all about regrowth. Both for the work itself, and for the support it raises in sales, for the amazing Skateistan skate school in Johannesburg.

SKATEISTAN AT 7HILLS SKATEPARK

SESSIONS NOW RUNNING IN JORDAN

7Hills Skatepark have been running incredible skate programs from their unique location in Amman, Jordan for a few years now. Jordan has an immensely diverse population, with 57 nationalities represented, and is one of the world’s top 10 countries in terms of the number of refugees it hosts. Now, Skateistan is teaming up with 7Hills in order to run its internationally awarded programs to underserved boys and girls in Amman.
