TSR Weekly Round-up: 02/08/21

It’s the first TSR Weekly Round-up of August, a new month and (apparently) the height of summer. We wouldn’t want to keep you inside for a moment longer than we have to, but the past seven days have been pretty immense in the world of social skateboarding. TAKING PRIDE IN KEITH HARING

CELEBRATING THE NYC GRAFFITI LEGEND

Working closely with the Keith Haring Foundation, we created a series of limited edition skateboard art pieces which celebrate the legendary New York street culture icon. Haring’s work advocated for safe sex and AIDS charities. Love for Haring has lived on long after he died of the disease in 1990, and we’ve been thinking alot about him during Pride month. A NEW SKATEPARK IS BORN IN AMSTERDAM

WOMEN SKATE THE WORLD WIN CROWDFUNDER

The Netherlands-based women and queer skateboarding project, Women Skate The World, has just announced the immense news that their crowdfunding campaign to build a new skatepark in Amsterdam Zuidoost was a success.
