Our collaboration

Albert Oehlen is a German contemporary artist born in 1954 in Krefeld, Germany. Through his experimental work, Oehlen constantly seeks to challenge traditional painting hierarchies with bold colours, forms, and spatial relationships, always exploring the function of a medium, rather than its ability to convey meaning or evoke emotion.

The two skateboard editions produced in collaboration with Albert Oehlen were launched at the prestigious Palazzo Grassi. Enthusiastic about the partnership, THE SKATEROOM’s Founder Charles-Antoine Bodson said the following:

“Collaborating with visionary artists such as Albert Oehlen is not only humbling but also inspiring since it allows us to support an NGO and build a skate park in some part of the world.”

Supported Social Projects

We make a commitment to the social projects we fund: at least 10% of our revenue goes directly to them. Working with our partners, we help empower at-risk youth, build new skateparks and develop education facilities & resource programs. Since 2014, we have generated over $1,500,000 to fund over 40 projects around the world. As a proudly certified B-Corp, we are committed to growing that impact every day.
