About the Artist
Thomas Lélu (b. 1976, Seclin, France) is a Paris‑based artist, writer, photographer and art‑director whose work playfully collides image, text and concept. Educated in visual communication at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Lélu draws on graphic design, literature and popular culture to experiment with clichés, puns and irreverent visuals.
Lélu’s practice spans books (such as Manuel de la photo ratée), installations, print works and collaborations with fashion and media. He re‑frames everyday objects and media‑images with a tongue‑in‑cheek sensibility, reflecting on our image‑saturated culture with irony and wit.
