Luc Tuymans
A new chapter with Luc Tuymans
Following the success of our first collaboration, THE SKATEROOM reunites with Belgian painter Luc Tuymans for a new collection of limited-edition artworks, exploring new formats and bringing his work into the home in unexpected ways.
The collection builds on our ongoing relationship with one of Belgium’s most influential contemporary artists, bringing together signed skateboard editions and, for the first time in THE SKATEROOM’s history, a triptych of ceramic tiles.
A continued artistic dialogue
Known for his distinctive approach to painting, Luc Tuymans often draws on images from everyday life, historical references and collective memory. His work invites viewers to look closer, questioning what we see and how images shape our understanding of the world.
This second collaboration continues our exploration of how his work can exist beyond the canvas, translating his artistic practice into collectible objects while preserving the integrity of the original imagery.
At the heart of the release is a signed pentaptych, available in a strictly limited edition of 20. The collection also features signed solo skateboard decks, available for one week only, offering collectors a limited window to acquire the works.
For the first time, THE SKATEROOM introduces ceramic tiles to a collection. The triptych brings his work into a new material and format, with each tile accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
Art that supports mental health
This collaboration also carries a purpose beyond the objects themselves. 10% of sales revenue from the collection will support Mental Health Europe, the independent European NGO network working to promote positive mental health, protect the rights of people with psychosocial disabilities, and advance mental health care and social inclusion.
Mental health is a fundamental part of individual and collective well-being, yet stigma and discrimination remain significant barriers to understanding and support. Through its advocacy, research and collaboration with policymakers and civil society, Mental Health Europe works towards a Europe where mental health is valued and everyone can thrive in supportive, inclusive communities.
By dedicating a share of sales to this work, the collaboration connects the reach of contemporary art with a cause that affects us all.
