About the Project
Ensuring health and safety for foster kids
Five Acres is a Southern California based non-profit that has provided care for vulnerable children and their families since 1888. They are committed to strengthening children and families, and empowering them within their communities.
As one of the oldest nonprofits in Los Angeles, they strive to provide a loving family for every child in their care – in effect, they strive for permanency. Five Acres’ care also includes community-based mental and behavioral health services, deaf services, foster care, and adoption. Five Acres offers these services to nearly 8,700 children and families annually, and stands by the following three pillars: safety, well-being, and permanency.
