Remember to Fall,
CB HOYO, Evgen Čopi GORISEK and Pascal MÖHLMANN

CB HOYO, Evgen Čopi GORISEK and Pascal MÖHLMANN (of Plan X Gallery) have joined forces for a special collection with THE SKATEROOM. Each artist has designed and painted 1/3rd of five different triptychs, dedicating their unique styles to exploring the theme of “falling” and translating it into a limited collection of skateboard art editions.

This particular triptych reminds us to embrace our falls as they are a natural part of life and an opportunity for growth. Falling teaches us resilience and determination in reaching our goals without giving up. This is also the artists’ tribute to the volatile nature of skateboarding and its unbreakable link with tumbling to the ground.

A third of the triptych showcases GORISEK’s oil-painted portraits, with the artist’s signature-style smiles in lieu of a human face. For his skateboard art editions, MÖHLMANN chose to zoom in on distraught figures captured in the midst of a fall, inspired by a baroque painting The Fall of The Damned by Pierre Paul Rubens. Meanwhile, CB HOYO examines the fall from a physical, emotional and metaphorical standpoint through a series of his distinctive hand-painted quotes.

Some artists have personal attachments to a specific project and therefore prefer that our collaboration supports their chosen cause, not necessarily related to skateboarding.
