Description

André Saraiva first made his mark on the world via graffiti. Born in Sweden, Saraiva grew up in the outskirts of Paris, where he moved to at the age of 10, and left his name on the neighborhood’s walls as a way of letting the people know of his existence. He started drawing graffiti at 13. At 18, Mr. A (Saraiva’s artistic alter ego) would win a graffiti competition. His works have been shown in museums and contemporary art galleries around the world. He is now an established hotelier, restaurateur, and nightlife pioneer. However, that hasn’t stopped him from partaking in graffiti.

Speaking of his involvement with the “Peanuts Global Artist Collective”, Saraiva said he’d always been a big fan of Charles M. Schulz and the Peanuts characters. They’ve been a huge inspiration to his works. He has been quite fond of all the Peanuts characters, especially fond of Linus Van Pelt and his blanket, claiming that Linus reminds him of himself when he was younger. “I always wish that I could have a Snoopy dog and a Woodstock bird,” says Saraiva.

Buying Guide

“Printed Signature on the deck” refers to the printed signature of the artist included on the top-print. Most decks feature this printed signature, though some specified editions can also feature a hand signed artist signature.

Art for Social Impact is at the core of who we are and what we stand for. We donate up to 25% of profits to support social projects. The percentage donated depends on several factors such as the edition, the price, the retailer’s margin, the royalties paid to the artists and foundations. Since the start of The Skateroom in 2014, we’ve donated more than $800,000+ to support social projects empowering at-risk youth around the world. In 2019, we became a Certified B Corporation.

The Skateroom is CO2 neutral, chooses to source its skateboard wood from certified sustainable forests, and uses water-based ink for its prints.

These editions of artwork are intended for decorative purposes. While you could definitely skate on them if you wanted to, we provide you with one wall mount per deck to hang them on your wall, just like a painting.

We provide you with everything you need to hang your boards up. It’s really easy to set up and you can find all the instuctions right here. Our team is also always ready to help if you have any additional questions.

Direct exposure to sunlight might result in discoloration and damage to your editions. To avoid this, we strongly suggest hanging your art-decks away from direct natural light.

You have up to 14 days after receiving your order to request a return. We will provide you with a return label to send us back the purchased edition in the same condition as when received, with the original packaging and documentation.

The Skateroom makes art accessible to all by delivering WORLDWIDE. Shipping estimates will be provided in the checkout process, once you enter your delivery address. Typically we process and ship your order within 48 hours. You will get a tracking number to follow your shipment. It usually takes 3-5 additional business days to arrive.
