It Happened,
CB HOYO, Evgen Čopi GORISEK and Pascal MÖHLMANN

CB HOYO, Evgen Čopi GORISEK and Pascal MÖHLMANN (of Plan X Gallery) have joined forces for a special collection with THE SKATEROOM. Each artist has designed and painted 1/3rd of five different triptychs, dedicating their unique styles to exploring the theme of “falling” and translating it into a limited collection of skateboard art editions.

Sometimes all you can do is shrug off from a fall and say – well, it happened. This triptych encourages us to allow the falls and embrace them when they drag us down. The simple message is both motivational and inspiring, reminding us that no struggle is truly individual and no pain will last forever.

A third of the triptych showcases GORISEK’s oil-painted portraits, with the artist’s signature-style smiles in lieu of a human face. For his skateboard art editions, MÖHLMANN chose to zoom in on distraught figures captured in the midst of a fall, inspired by a baroque painting The Fall of The Damned by Pierre Paul Rubens. Meanwhile, CB HOYO examines the fall from a physical, emotional and metaphorical standpoint through a series of his distinctive hand-painted quotes.

Buying guide

Of course, every single skateboard in the world is produced with 8 holes – this is standard! Since we keep it real, this also applies to your art edition. Every single edition displayed on our website clearly illustrates these holes as well.

As a gentle reminder, these holes are also necessary for you to be able to hang your editions on the wall – either 2 holes for vertical editions, or 4 holes for horizontal artworks. Without them, this would simply not be possible.

Direct exposure to sunlight might result in discoloration and damage to your editions. To avoid this, we strongly suggest hanging your art-decks away from direct natural light.

There are two different wall mount systems: EasyFix wall-mount or SnapDisplay premium wall mounts.

You have up to 14 days after receiving your order to request a return. The 14-day return policy is applicable on all products except limited hand-signed editions.

Once you have informed us of your request, we will provide you with a return label so you can easily send us back the product in the same condition as when received, accompanied by the original packaging and documentation.

THE SKATEROOM makes art accessible to everyone by delivering WORLDWIDE from our warehouse in Belgium.

Taxes are calculated according to your shipping destination. Make sure you select your location to view the correct shipping costs.

Price listings will appear in EUR for countries within the European economic zone. All other territories will have a price listing in USD.

Please note that some non-EU countries do require duty or import fees on your order when above a certain value. Our product prices and shipping costs do not include those fees as national policies are very different from one country to another. The payment of customs fees would be handled directly with the carrier.

CoA is short for certificate of authenticity. CoA’s are either signed by the artist or THE SKATEROOM in order to validate the editions. It is specificied on each product page if a CoA is provided with the edition.

Through our sales, we mainly finance social projects that use skateboarding as a tool to empower disadvantaged kids and youth anywhere in the world. Some artists have personal attachments to a specific project and therefore prefer that our collaboration supports their chosen cause, not necessarily related to skateboarding.

Historically, our biggest NGO partner is the award-winning social project, Skateistan.
