OTOKY N13
by contemporary artist Cevo captures a quiet Tokyo street corner suspended between nostalgia and modern urban rhythm. Rendered with remarkable precision and cinematic color, the artwork transforms an ordinary storefront into a striking visual composition where architecture, signage, and tangled electrical lines create a dense urban tapestry.

Part of Cevo’s OTOKY series, the work reflects the artist’s fascination with Japanese city life. Inspired by visits to Tokyo and Kyoto, the series blends real urban observation with elements of retro-futurism and anime culture, resulting in meticulously composed scenes that feel both documentary and surreal.

In OTOKY N13, a small corner restaurant sits beneath a vivid blue sky, its red awning acting as a bold focal point against the layered textures of the city. The composition celebrates the beauty of everyday urban environments, highlighting the subtle poetry of signage, wires, and architecture that define Tokyo’s visual identity.

Printed as a limited, numbered edition of 50, this collectible art print offers collectors a refined way to experience Cevo’s detailed urban storytelling.

This contemporary Tokyo art print is ideal for collectors of urban landscape art, Japanese city imagery, and contemporary graphic realism, bringing a vibrant yet contemplative city scene into the home.

Cevo

The Artist

Cevo

Sebastian Scaglione (b. 1991), known professionally as Cevo, is a self-taught Argentinean artist based in Stockholm.

His practice centres around large-scale, hyper-detailed figurative cityscapes that merge architectural precision with an anime-inspired surrealism. Working primarily with acrylic on linen, his works often require up to 300 hours to complete.

His ongoing series Otoky, a retro-futuristic study inspired by his first visits to Tokyo and Kyoto in 2023, explores the paradox of solitude within densely populated cities. Through meticulously crafted compositions devoid of human presence, Cevo captures a sense of “futuristic nostalgia,” where neon lit urban environments become the protagonists of silent metropolises.

Driven by admiration for Japanese urbanism and craftsmanship, his work invites viewers to pause within stillness and reflect on the evolution of contemporary cities.
