THE SKATEROOM is excited to launch its second collaboration with American artist Raymond Pettibon, once again exploring the internationally acclaimed artist’s surfer-themed works.
Intermixing image and text, Raymond Pettibon’s influential oeuvre engages a wide spectrum of American iconography variously pulled from literature, art history, philosophy, politics, sports, and alternative youth culture, among other sources.
This time, the set of six decks, takes on a bigger scale. In the spirit of Hokusai’s wave, Raymond Pettibon illustrates the magnitude of Nature over Man with this exclusive limited edition of 50 - No Title (I see the…), 2019 – hand-signed.
LAUNCH ON Friday, March 5th
This skateboard edition will help raise $50,000 to finish the construction of Skateistan’s skate school in Bamyan, Afghanistan. It will include a state-of-the-art skatepark, as well as classroom spaces for creative lessons and to give out-of-school children a second chance at an education.
Here's a closer look.

PREVIOUS COLLABORATION WITH RAYMOND PETTIBON
In our first collaboration with Raymond Pettibon, THE SKATEROOM explored the artist’s surfer-themed works to release two limited editions of 250: No Title (You have a clear…), 1990, and No Title (The bright flatness), 2003. Through these visuals, viewers ride along with a counterculture hero who, perhaps, is the artist’s nearest proxy.
