Description

The name Andy Hope 1930 acts more as a label rather a name – a gateway that allows the artists to travel in different directions freely. The name Andy Hope is a blending of Andy Warhol and Dorian Hope, while 1930 represents an exciting year with a new form of illustration through comic books and the introduction of super heroes. This choice in name intentionally represents Andy Hope’s entire body of work: stylistic clashes, distinct yet interwoven times and worlds, and plays on identities. The artist’s persona, much like his art, remains an enigma that plays along the outer border of his audience’s conception of reality.

Buying Guide

“Printed Signature on the deck” refers to the printed signature of the artist included on the top-print. Most decks feature this printed signature, though some specified editions can also feature a hand signed artist signature

Our Social Impact is at the core of who we are and what we stand for. We donate up to 30% of every sale to an NGO dedicated to moving humanity forward. The % given to support social projects depends on various factors among which the edition size, the price, the retailer’s margin, the royalites paid to the artists and foundations. Since the start of our project, we’ve given more than $500,000+ to support social projects empowering at-risk youth around the world.

These editions of artwork are intended for decorative purposes. While you could definitely skate on them if you wanted to, we provide you with one wall mount per deck to hang them on your wall, just like a painting.

We provide you with a set of instructions that tells you everything you need to know to hang your board up. Our team is also always ready to help if you have any additional questions.

Direct exposure to sunlight might result in discoloration and damage to your editions. To avoid this, we strongly suggest hanging your art-decks away from direct natural light.

The Skateroom makes art accessible to all by delivering worldwide. Shipping estimates are always provided in our webstore once you enter your delivery address.
