A collection that benefits skate projects for at-risk youth.
The good folks over at THE SKATEROOM are back at it once again. This time around, they have aligned with the MoMA Design Store in SoHo, New York, to release its first collection with late artist James Rosenquist. The collection of skate decks features Rosenquist’s monumental work F-111.
The work features a series of panels that he created to protest against America’s development of military weapons in the early 1960s. Rosenquist is known as a pioneer of the pop art movement. The four skateboards are titled F-111 Triptych A (Girl), F-111 Solo A (Tire), F-111 Solo B (Air Force), and F-111 Triptych B (Atom). This unique collaboration also celebrates THE SKATEROOM’s seventh anniversary, which was formed to support at-risk youth’s social skate projects and educational initiatives…
